If I could write you a song

It's Monday night as I write this.  Those of you who have been around know I always write my posts the night before.  This is mostly due to my pervasive spelling and grammar mistakes in anything that I write before 9am.  I have spent all day pondering what I should write about today.  There are plenty of things that I could, should, and will post about... eventually... or not.  I don't really know.  It isn't a lack of inspiration that has me stumped.  It's that I don't have the correct words to express some of these things yet.  Others, I have no idea how to make it last an ENTIRE blog post.  And still yet more stories that I'm not sure are really worth sharing.  So today, I guess I'm going to do something I've been meaning to do for a while, and hand out some kudos (thank-yous, not granola bars), to some incredible blogger friends.

Alyx:  Thank you for being the best kind of friend that I have found in this whole blogging world.  I got so excited every time I get a text or an email from you.  They brighten my day.  I am so looking forward to meeting you, Mike, and your baby to be sometime soon.  Also, thank you for sending my goodie packages!  They make my heart smile.

Wondering why she sent me The Book of Mormon?  That's one of those things I don't have the words to share yet.  But it will all be made clear in the proper time.

PS- Alyx and I have almost the exact same picture of ourselves at Sylvan Lake in Custer, SD.  We were there 3 weeks apart last summer, and it hurt my heart.  I am glad to see she turned her picture into a button.

Andrea:  Thank you for giving health counseling with me a shot.  You have been such a wonderful client.  Thank you for the Christmas card.  Thank you for all of the wedding planning advice that you so lovingly share whenever I text you in a panic.  You are a true friend.

Karissa:  One of these days, girl, you and I are finally going to meet.  You were the first fellow CO blogger I ever came across.  Thank you for the lovely Christmas card, and THANK YOU for the wonderful giveaway package you sent me.  I feel awful that I haven't posted all of the pictures sooner, and I hope you can forgive me for that.

Ammon was there when I opened this box, and he can attest to the fact that I went NUTS when it came.  I haven't been so excited about anything in a long, long time.

PS - We should totally make you a button.

Typical Kim
Kim:  Thank you for appearing in my life, and instantly becoming a part of it.  I'm not sure how it happened, but I am constantly amazed at the bond that is steadily growing.  Thank you for the words of encouragement that you share so freely.  Thank you for being brave, and sharing remarkably open truths about who you are, and what's happening in your life.  If this NH thing doesn't work out, you could always give CO a try ;-)

Maggie:  This list would never in a million years be complete without your name on this list.  Where in the world do I start?  Thank you for still talking to me on Friday night after I had you convinced that your iPad was defective.  I am defective.  Thank you for having ridiculously long skype dates with me on a semi-regular basis.  Thank you for always telling me exactly what you think, even when we most certainly do not agree (cough ::Christmassweaters:: cough).  Thank you for the most fabulous homemade cowl and tree nest ever.  And thank you for laughing at how high strung I am.  It's good for me.

Honestly, this post could go on forever.  I feel that I could thank every single blogger in blogland for one thing or another.  Somehow, I'm not entirely certain that you guys would hang in there for the whole thing if I did it in one shot, so if I'm feeling motivated here soon, I will do another round of thanks in a few weeks.  Please don't feel left out if your name isn't here.  Just don't, because I do have love and thanks for you in my heart.

Have a happy Tuesday!

  1. You!! Thank you for including me and this. And thank you for making these - I always find such lovely bloggers when you do these posts. Also - I think regardless of how NH works out for me, I need to be in CO ASAP.

  2. I write my posts at night too. but that is because I have to get up by 5:30 and have an hour commute to work. haha so I don't feel like getting up at 5:00 to write a post. I cherish that last half hour with every fiber of my being.

And the Book of Mormon is da bomb. yes. da bomb. but seriously. not a lot of things can bring me comfort when I am absolutely lost in the hell hole that can be my life like the BOM can. haha hope it does the same for you.

And one day, we will meet. I mean, we are so close it would be wrong not to. Just want you to know how awesome I think you are. You are one of my faves. It's a very exclusive club. :)

  3. Have I laughed at you? I'm sorry.... I don't remember. Of course, I'm laughing at myself now. And I love you too. Can you share the book of Mormon story with me next time we talk? I had a mini thought about it myself, on my walkie during lunch today. =)

And you're welcome... for everything. I'd be less awesome without you too.

  6. Ummm oh my goodness! I love you Kristen. Seriously - you are so kind and I'm so glad I've met you in this nifty little blogging world! I can't wait to meet you and hang out... and camping! Yes, we're still so on for that... I've just been horribly busy with work and life and bahhhhh. Anyway. Mike and I need a mini-getaway, and I'm sure that you and Ammon do, too. Let's get this thing worked out.

Thank YOU for being a good friend, for keeping my prego secret when I HAD to tell someone, and for being there - you are great!
